Cresent Head and Arrawarra cont.
....offered us Jobs at a Surf camp at Arrawarra, with was about 3 hours north, we had a chat and decided, it was too much of a conincidence to turn it down, so we jumped at the chance.
We didnt pay for the next nite accomodation, we worked for it instead :) that day me and Nik got more bunk beds from storage as we had over 50 people to accomodate, and I shifted all of mine and Chole's gear over to "the office" basically HQ, I borrowed a swag and that nite I slept on the floor. Well we got the camp ready and as the the Big red bus (the ASA 5 day tour) turned up the heavens opened, great, we all got soaked gettin everyone's stuff off the bus, it wasnt long and the sun was back out in force...cant remeber if we went for a surf that sarvo or not??? but that nite we all eat and as tradition has it, everyone has to play a game to decide who does the dishes and all the stuff used to make dinner, with over 50 people it was definatly the clothes line game....i hear you askin yourself "what the hell is this???" basically everyone is split into teams and in those teams you have make the longest line out of all clothes you and your team members have one however if you take all of your clothes off you can use your body in the line. that nite the staff line oblitorated every other line by miles, staff dont usually participate unless its the clothes line :)
Next day we left with the OZ Experience bus for Arrawarra, the bus driver Simon we wud get to know quite well as they pass through the surf camps every 3 to 5 days with new groups of people. En route we stopped off at The Water Tank lookout in Cresent, this is a beautiful lookout, you can see along the north and south coast as far as the eye can see, so amazing. after that we hit the road and heading for the Legends Surf Museum this is a surf museum owned by
Scott Dillon, he is and Australian surfing legend, he was one of the original and first people to make surf boards (and later we get to spend more time with Scott, such a cool dude, 77 and surfs everyday) anyway we watched Euro Trip to on the journey, has its funny bits but the majority of the film is pretty pants, just before we got to Scotts we stopped off at the Big Banana at Coffs Harbour, this is much like the giant prawn at Banilla.sorry I have been piss balling about lookin at stuff on the net, aswell as typing this up, I'll carry on with this 2moro.
email me with what you lot are up to and stuff, it'd be nice to hear from you.
speak soon.
