Melbourne :)
Sorry guys for the delay in the post, I think this is the longest I've left it, the reasons I haven't posted is because mainly I've been working lots in Sydney, for this demolition firm called Aston Group, and I thought it would make quite uninteresting reading to hear about another place being torn to pieces, was fun work mind, really physically labor intensive work. Worked with a variety of people, Australians, Greeks and Tongans, really sound group of blokes, went out on the piss a couple of times with Dan and others (everyone in Oz seems to be called Dan, this is not Dan from the surf camp) But as with Sydney wages comes Sydney prices as I suppose is the same in in every city across the planet, so as much a you earn, you seem to spend a similar amount just to live. If I wasn't working in the evening I was chilling out with the guys at Mirimar (This is not the training ground for TOPGUN) but we all got really close, just for the record the actual people that lived there and paid rent were: Ciiran, Bij, Ali, Katie (Mughole) Jules and Lewis, Later Lyndon. People who crashed there are: Me, Dan (Bush), Ricardo, John, Eugene, Tom, Jit and all the peoples relevant other. Obviously not all there at the same time, sometimes I think it was close, but everyone, had good friends and every1 got on great, there were a couple of very low days that I can remember, when "everyone" just seemed very down, but we all helped each other through and like Ricky Gervais Said
“Life is just a series of peaks and troughs. And you don’t know whether you’re in a trough until you’re climbing out, or on a peak until you’re coming down. And that’s it you know, you never know what’s round the corner. But it’s all good. ‘If you want the rainbow, you’ve gotta put up with the rain.’
David Brent (Series 2, Episode 6)
Couldnt have put it better meyself :)
Had a wicked time in Sydney, lost count of the number of times we watched TOPGUN, just one of them forever classic movies I suppose.
I came to Melbourne on Tuesday 7th Feb, T picked me up from the airport (T is a girl I met in Sydney on Australia Day) and I stayed at hers that night, she a zoologists (think thats how you spell it) cool as hell, got loads of funky animal at her house, a crocpythonsus phythons, frogs, lizards and birds. Melbourne is noticeably colder than Sydney, and infact its rained heavily 3 times already today, but again its not like English rain, English rain is just bad!!!!! even though I did get soaked on my way to the internet cafe, and nearly slipped over god knows how many times on the side walk, cus flip flops aint got the most amazin grip, it doesnt get you down like back in the homeland. The temps were mid 30's yesterday, ace!!!
Staying currently in a hostel in the city, its not bad, the people are gud, gonna look into purchasing a car of some sort maybe, cus all of the jobs in harvest work are all quite away, away and they all mention own transport as a requirement, but we'll see :)
Rite im gonna go check out of my hostel, off to T's beach house, going sailing with a couple of her friends, so i'll keep you posted.
speak to you soon. hope your all ok.
